really pleased to say that team MV are going to break a long silence in the next couple of weeks and put up some new music. have been working away on the lp for the past few months and now looking forward to putting some of it out into the world. i’m going to tennessee for a few days from tomorrow and as soon as i’m back it’s on. be here.

sorry you haven’t heard from us for a while, we’re currently knee deep in making the first monument valley lp. we’re expecting to have something for you to hear early in the new year, and really looking forward to inflicting it on the world.

in the meantime, with winter/christmas in mind, we’ve made a few monument valley beanies. as modeled below by our friend O.B., they’re black, one size, with a white MV logo embroidered on the front. we’ve only made a few, so if you want one head on over to the shop. also, we’ve hardly got any copies of the tongues ep/book left now, so if you’ve been planning on getting one of those now is probably the time. if there’s any other monument valley merch you’d like to see let us know on email, or hit up Ned on twitter.

i’ve been telling people that monument valley won’t be at festivals this summer. that’s turned out to be an unintentional untruth, and team MV will in fact be at a handful over the next month or so. excited to take a break from writing and recording and see some of you out there. dates are as follows:

i’m so pleased and proud to see it out in the world, and grateful to everyone who worked on it. everyone knows what the song’s about, so people will understand why it means a lot to see it released.

Next MV single Your Cover Blown will be released on Everybody’s Stalking on May 14th 2012. It will be released on very limited 7″ vinyl and electronically. If you would like to pre-order the vinyl click here, and to pre-order the digital track click here.

Each vinyl ordered directly from Everybody’s Stalking will come with a disposable one-shot camera and a set of instructions. Once you’ve taken a photo, send it in to Everybody’s Stalking, who will develop the film. All of the pictures will then be collated for a special event/release later in the year. These cameras are super limited, so if you’re interested be quick.

After the headline shows in March, MV is out again across April and May supporting first Boy and Bear, and then Karima Francis. We’re also doing a free cafe show in London to celebrate the launch of the single at a lovely place called Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green. Dates and ticket links are on the shows page.
